Strawberry Fest, 2010

We went to St. Martin's Church annual Strawberry Fest yesterday, at the park by our house. Uncle Nathan and Erica came down to visit, so they went with too! Same old bouncy slides, games and snow cones. I guess that's what makes it fun!

Luke tried his hardest not to go down very fast....

so his second turn, he opted to just head back down the stairs. Adventuresome, he is not.

They had a "Pick a Sucker" game, if it had a colored bottom, you could pick a prize from the 'big' prize basket. Emily was insistent on playing it. I guess she had a few prizes in mind she would like and by gosh, she picked 2 colored sticks. The 3rd one wasn't, so the winners high was gone.

Today is the start of summer for us! The first official week of no school. Emily has park and rec camp this week from 8-Noon. Hopefully they'll get to get some fun outdoor things in, it's supposed to be pretty gloomy most of the week. And tonight, both kids start a round of swim lessons at the Y, Luke's first time! Wish him (or me) luck!
