Christmas with the girls!

Last week, the kids and I went over to Katie and the girl's for a Christmas party. The kids exchanged gifts and made their traditional painted sugar cookies. Thanks for the party girls!

The Baby Whisperer

Emily loves it when Logan is crying and she comes to his rescue. Usually he settles right down and is content as can be as she cuddles him. I love the extra set of helping hands too! She is a such an awesome big sister.

against the rules

It seems I have another "sleeps 100% better on his tummy" baby!

bowling party

My good friend Katie and her husband both had/have birthday's this month. They had a fun friends & family bowling party at Westgate on Sunday. Bowling, orange pop, pizza, cake and new friends to play with. We had alot of fun, thanks guys!

Visit with Santa

On Saturday, we headed to Lacrosse to do some last minute Christmas shopping. Who would have thought it would be so chaotic, it's only Lacrosse, Wisconsin! It took just as long to find a parking spot as it did to stand in line to see Santa. We wanted to go to Lark Toys the other weekend, they were having Santa and Mrs. Claus, but because of the mega storm, they rescheduled it to this last weekend. Seemed silly to run 30 minutes the opposite direction 2 ways, so we saw Santa at the mall instead. Hopefully Lark does that again next year, I was really looking forward to it. Plus, you can take your own pictures!

Stella is 9 months!

I think I missed an 8 month update? Well, she still lives with us! Haha, just kidding. We love her, no one else probably does though. But, I guess that doesn't really matter in the big picture. She has lots of lovable qualities. And lots of undesirable, like the one you see in 2 of these pictures. She makes for a warm, soft back rest, but trying to get to your own back with the hair removal sticky roller has proven to be difficult. So if you see me around town and I have 3" long blonde hairs on my back, this is why! She loves all the new snow, could be out there all day if it were 20 degrees. She loves to sleep in funny positions in her corner, she loves playing tug a war with the kids and they love it when she pulls them around the hardwood floor, Luke loves chasing her around the house (I hate it), she still loves apples, she loves it when you have lotion on your hands or better yet, are freshly showered, and she definitely still loves her Daddy best. Hey, he buys her 2 foot long bones.

Week 2

Logan was 2 weeks on Friday! He's spending more time awake during the day. Or wait, at night too :/ Hopefully he'll be like Emily and Luke and fall into a nice routine around 6-8 weeks. Only another month to find out! He does not really enjoy the hours between 10pm and around 1-2am, but we deal with it. Once he does settle, he'll sleep for 6 hours. He's definitely making me appreciate The Nanny. It's pretty much all that's on during that time. His cord stump fell off at 10 days old, so we've done our first official bath too!

My newest view.....Logan sure loves the Mei Tai carrier. Pretty sure he'd sleep in it all day if I'd let him. Hard to do dishes that way!

I know it's early, but I swear he smiles on purpose sometimes :)

Learning to love the Nuk.
Tummy time with Sis!

Christmas Program!

Luke had his preschool Christmas program Friday. It was really cute, like usual. This is his first one since we started right after Christmas last year. He sang lots of great songs (it's amazing how those little ones remember the words!), played a convincing Shepard, and shared some cookies and punch with me after. And as Emily used to love to do, he set up the nativity set figurines for me in the classroom. Great job Luke!

$2 a tooth

The tooth fairy has been busy this month! Emily has had $24 burning a hole in her jewelry box, $20 birthday money and 2 tooth fairy pay outs. One trip to the mall took care of that, Claire's is a 7 year old girls dream store!

asleep and awake

We should just rename him 'the snuggler.' He's so good at it. Not to jinx it, but our little 10 day old slept from midnight to 5:30am this morning!

(He loves staring at the Christmas tree at night.)

Logan's first week!

Logan's first week at home was filled with cuddles, kisses and "pets" (as in Luke asking..."Can I pet the baby?") Wide eyed 3am hours, peekaboos with his big brother and even his first visit with Santa! He had his first check up and everything looks great. He was just 2oz. below his birth weight at 5 days old. According to the doctor, that's a great acheivement! He said that he is as active and alert as some 1 month olds. Maybe we have another genius on our hands ;) Stella loves giving the baby nudges, sniffs and little licks. We try and give her lots of opportunities to "greet" Logan. I think he's developed a "fussy" time, usually right after the big kids go to bed and before he settles for the night. Otherwise, he's letting me get a few hours here and there of sleep! We've made it out grocery shopping, Fleet Farm, Walgreens, ECFE and even Emily's school. Katie and Colleen came over on Tuesday and brought lunch and some cute Gymboree clothes for Logan, thanks guys! Oh, can't forget we survived our first snowstorm! Dave snowblowed and shoveled 2 or 3 times yesterday and now has to do it again today. Crazy. We have no idea where to put it all.
