keyless entry

Yesterday, Luke was talking to me about Dave's obnoxiously huge set of keys he needs for the Fastenal stores in Canada. Luke also still gets a bit confused (after 2 years!) that Dave in fact, does not work for Napa anymore. It went a little something like this....

Luke: These are Daddy's Fastenal keys!

Me: Yep.

Luke: Where are Daddy's Napa keys?

Me: Daddy doesn't have Napa keys, remember, he doesn't work at Napa anymore.

Luke: The doors just open?

Papa is still here....the fence is about 3/4 done! We're off to visit the puppies one last time tonight. They went to the vet today for shots, deworming and papers!

Sleepy Sunday

This is a picture of the kids taken just a little bit ago. Both of them have been fighting spring colds for a good week now. Mainly it's the coughing and being miserable at night....between the 2 of them, we're already on our second bottle of Delsym!

The Fence....round 1

Papa came down this week for a few days to get a start on the new fence. Dirt, drills, screws, shovels....Luke was thrilled!

Daddy! You shouldn't have!

No really. You shouldn't have. No, it's cute. Dave really likes finding the kids neat ride on things, from pedal tractors/cars to trikes to Big Wheels. His theory is that now the kids each have their own pedal car and pedal tractor to use now and hopefully pass on. Remember Em's cute pink car? And she also has a Farmall Super M (get it?) tractor. So these are what the kids woke up to Tuesday morning after Daddy got back from his Canada run. He bought them off Craigslist and arranges to pick them up on his routes at Fastenal stores. Clever, I tell ya. Of course, they love them!

Grandparents Day

Emily had Grandparents Day at school on Friday. Papa had been here since Wednesday working on the fence, so he got to take a break and go have lunch with Em! We'll have to keep up these April/Spring major projects. Last year he got to go to Em's preschool for Grandparents Day because he was slaving over the sandbox! Thanks Papa!

Fever

Poor Em. I got the dreaded phone call from school today at 10:45am. Emily had a fever of 103.5. This morning, she was tired, said her leg hurt, didn't want any breakfast, etc., but I sent her off to school hoping she'd snap out of it. So she slept and drank most of the day away, but still had a fever lingering between 103.1-101.9 all day. Probably no school tomorrow since you technically have to be (unmedicated) fever free for 24 hours. I think it should be 12. She wasn't acting miserable enough to medicate her, so we'll see how the night goes! I knew that perfect attendance was too good to be true...

Minnesota Zoo

We took a little day trip up to the zoo yesterday with Katie and the girls....baby animals at the farm and a little celebration for Bridget's birthday!
