A boy thing?
Luke has started this obnoxious thing of taking off his pj's and diaper in the crib! Emily NEVER did this. And a few times he's peed. Untying the bumper ties, taking out the mattress and putting a new pad and sheet on, and retying all the bumper ties gets really old, really fast. I don't feel he's ready to potty train yet, and it wouldn't really matter anyways for when he's sleeping right now, so the past few nights I've tried to deter him by putting him in a large Fuzzibunz with a microfiber insert wrapped in a microfiber towel....and he hasn't bothered it! I guess the snaps are to hard to get off. I never really liked cloth diapering at night too, but it'll work! And we're on the lookout for a twin size race car bed (Little Tikes, Step 2, whatever!) to transition him into soon, so if you see any deals, let me know!
Getting everyone ready for the party...
Lately, Emily has been having 'parties.' She'll get her dolls, stuffed animals, Webkinz, whatever...dressed up to go to parties. She'll get herself ready too by getting into her favorite dress up dress (which is a hand me down from neighbor Rylie, I think it was an old Easter dress!) , putting on a crown and jewelry, picking out a purse and making sure there's her money and cell phone in it, and brushing her teeth!

Do ya really blame him?
Ever since our dreaded doctor appointment, the kids play doctor kit has been used lots by them. Right now, I hear Emily giving Luke a check-up (the shot part) and him fussing to get away. In frustration, Emily yells "No, Luke! I just want your blood!"
Poor kid.
Poor kid.

Patients
Then all hell broke loose...Emily: 4 shots including the flu
Luke: 3 shots including the flu, he was overdue for 6, but I wasn't even considering doing that to him, so we'll be back in a month to get the second dose of the flu shot and finish the rest. I request a lead test every year also since we live in an extremely old house with probably even older soil that they play in all summer, so it's pretty necessary for us. So that was an extra finger prick to seal the deal. For some reason, that was the worst for Emily, we were a few seconds away from calling a set of backup hands to hold her down. But, she did it and we're done!
