Our weekend...

I took the kids up to the cities to get Emily to Nana and Papa's to stay for the week....here are some pictures from our trip. We stopped at Deeda's house first and spent the night.

Blowing bubbles on Deeda's (Dave's mom) front steps.

Emily doing one of her favorite things to do at Deeda's....change baby clothes!

Just a sampling of the doll diapers and blankets that Deeda makes...didn't get a picture of all the clothes this time. She is so talented and Emily adores all the things she makes.

The kids with cousin Lexi out to eat at Snuffy's before going to Cambridge.

The kids playing at the (much updated) playground at my old elementary school....

Luke and Great Grandpa Mike! (my grandpa)

Visiting with their great grandparents....

My handsome little Luke...

waiting for Sissy to come back from church with Nana and Papa!
Uncle Nathan pitching to Emily. She was in heaven having Uncle Nathan and Papa play baseball with her.
Happy that she hit the ball over Papa's head! Forget Tball, she's ready for pitchball!

Catching....
Throwing...

I thought I'd snap a few pictures of Tanner since he doesn't get much photo attention anymore...he'll be 12 this fall and since this year, he's really starting to show his age. He's getting gray, or white I should say, and he's becoming hard of hearing. Emily and him sure are buds!

Uncle Jay came over on his Harley!

Self affirmation

We walked the kids down to the bottom of Nana and Papa's hill to the daycare play area at the church.

Luke was so proud of himself when he "jumped" off the slide at the very bottom he would clap after each time.

Tanner going incognito in the "No Dogs Allowed In Gated Area."

The kids and Uncle Nathan and Auntie Erica. (Sorry guys, terrible picture...not sure what was up with my exposure on most of these and in the only light one poor Lukey was in mid sneeze or something)

Nana and Papa with the kids.

Final pit stop

Luke and I stopped in Lake City on the way home for gas, so we decided to walk down by the lake.

Sitting on the look out ledge and wondering if he should trust me or not.

The Lake City pier. It's about the least toddler proof thing ever, so we didn't venture out on it.
Lake Pepin in the evening.

Luke by the marina.
Hey Luke....Where are the boats?

And that's our short but sweet trip to the cities!

The Levee.

After the post office tour, we took the kids down to the Levee for ice cream and to walk in the park.

Luke having his ice cream confined!

Behind the Scenes....

Hangin' with Bridget on the mail cart on the loading dock.

(Em getting weighed by the package scale. )

at the post office! We took a little tour of our post office with the ECFE group. Hopefully Emily learned that people she knows and love her send her nice things in the mail and not the mailman. For a while there, she thought the mailman was the most generous man in the world! We learned that every house in town has its own little slot for that days mail and may have tidbits of information about that location. I can only imagine what ours says... "Caution :Have your pepper spray ready!"
