burnin' the midnight oil

When Dave has his nights off, he usually sticks to the same sleep schedule.  So, he's up most of the night.  He's been working hard at putting shelving up in the loft, in hopes to empty the lower part so we can work on it.  An 8 x 10 shed is in our near future also.  Probably better for the kids to be getting their things in and out of there.  Locate, sell, organize, repeat.  We're hopefully working out the details and making a really fun family purchase soon.  We took a little jaunt up to Lewiston last night to check it out......let's just say Luke was obsessively saying......"We'll take it!"

daddy's helpers

or something like that, right?  Dave was scrubbing the mats from the van the other day.  Bucket of water = kids joining in!  Oh, does anyone who uses Blogger ever had posts not show up?  There are there, like on the sidebar under "April" but they don't show up on the blog if you just search by "older posts."  Anyways, if you really want to read up on when Baby Logan was laid up on the couch with a high fever or what the kids will be up to this summer, check out the first 2 posts in April!

Turn off the TV and read!

Emily is doing a reading incentive program at school starting today ...she needs to read 300 minutes in the next 2 weeks.  And according to her, the minutes only count if you read between 2:15 and 7:15pm.  I'm thinking it's just anytime she reads outside of school :)  She got about 40 minutes or more in tonight! If you care to, you can sponsor her reading efforts.  She would get half of any monies pledged to spend at Bluffviews book fair in May.  If you sponsor $10, she gets $5....$20, she gets $10 and so on.  Read details below!

Earth Day

Happy Earth Day!  Emily spent some time today with her Llamateer group at their 4H booth during the Earth Day celebration at Unity Park.  There was a little obstacle course that the girls would lead the llamas through, or help other kids lead if they were interested.  She's having a great time learning about and working with the llamas.  Pretty soon she will start working with hers a lot in May and June to get ready for the big show at the county fair!

per doctors orders!

Logan has bad yeast rash, so per doctors orders, he gets to have some "nakey time!"  Those darn antibiotics :(

how I found him this morning...

I looked in the living room and saw Logan laid out on the couch looking at a book.  Camera was handy, so I took some pictures of him.  I went to check after he was done with the book and the picture that he was giving loves to was one of a cut out cookie dog. :)

He separates!

We started spring term at ECFE a couple of weeks ago.  Logan's first time being in a separating class! Although he did do a couple of trial separations during last term if some kids were gone and there was room.  He is doing great!  Follows big brother and everyone to the door for gym time and doesn't look back :)  He even claps his hands at the right times during "Hello Everybody."  He's a natural for ECFE.

{sand}box buddies

Logan has started getting into the sandbox all on his own and playing.  Luke is loving it!  Well, when Logan isn't trying to take all the dirt out of his dump truck anyways.  They'll both be getting down 'n dirty this summer!

spring sing

Emily had her spring concert for school Thursday night.  Carol came over short notice and watched the boys for me.  Not great pictures, but fun to watch the kids sing.  Emily and some of the kids from her class got to play the little bells (I forget the "technical" name?) for a song.  She's been practicing for weeks I guess!
