Christmas 2008

We spent the majority of Christmas at Deeda's house in the cities this year since it's Mark and Josey's year to be in MN and not Chicago. The kids got to spend alot of time with their cousin Lexi, although she wasn't feeling good, and had a fun, relaxing Christmas! Just how we like it! Luke taking in the sight of the tree and all the presents when we first got there.

Emily always has to dig out Daddy and Uncle Mark's old books.

Cousin Lexi!

Coloring! Luke's so funny when it comes to naming colors. Sometimes he gets them right and other times he'll hold up a big fat brown one and say "Pink!" Goofy kid!

My attempts of getting a good picture of the 3 grandkids...

Emily got Lexi laughing so hard by hitting the ottoman, so of course, it turned into a game!

King of the presents!

Lexi opening up her blocks from us!

Emily helping Luke open up his gift from her :)

Emily's new baby! It's a Lee Middleton newborn doll from Deeda. It's the cutest thing and feels so real. Emily's officially named her Chloe.

Giving his new Big Bird a hug!

A new Tag book!

A new bathrobe from Deeda!

Deeda got Emily a little trinket box when we were in Nisswa last August.

An Elmo truck!

Little Lexi...she wasn't feeling too good.

Emily having a tea party with her new baby. This table was Daddy and Mark's when they were little!

Can't forget Tanner! He was curled up on the stockings before Santa kicked him off :)

Santa came!
Luke loving his Bert and Ernie.

She sure was surprised to see the potty doll she wanted! Mommy insisted it was for little girls that are learning to use the potty (although it's not) and that I wasn't going to get it for her. She really believes in the magic of Santa now!

Emily helped Luke look at all his stocking stuff first before looking at hers...she's such a sweetie!

Emily checking out her stocking!

Christmas cookies for breakfast!

Em doing her new Hello Kitty Go paints from Santa, they are neat!

Deeda's kitty.

Helping Daddy with Deeda's snowblower...he loves to 'help' Dave with things. I imagine he'll be a good garage buddy someday!

He kept wanting to give Daddy the bolts that he had taken out (but didn't need them yet) saying "Here go! Here go!"

Trying to make the gingerbread house with Deeda...it didn't hold together too well though! Next time I'll try to remember an extra can of white frosting, they are pretty stingy with the frosting in the kits.

Working hard on his "Too Too Tain cuddering!" (aka, coloring on the choo choo train)

Uncle Mark TiVo's Sesame Street for me!

Em riding her new scooter, her present from Mommy and Daddy.

Christmas Day food!
Continuing the "hit the ottoman" game on from Christmas Eve...

I'm wondering how Deeda's house is still standing after all the sawing Luke was doing...the floor, furniture, toys :)
