I got to play the "Did you guys do this!" joke on the kids. Fun stuff.

One shop had this realistic toy charcoal grill. They could have played with it all day. Maybe Luke will have to put it on a wishlist.

Mingling with the locals....

Kalona hardware store....

Unfortunately, in the afternoon, Luke started to get sick with a high fever and the pukes through out the night. I stayed back with him and Daddy took Em and the babe over to Grandpa Homer's place to visit for the evening. There's always plenty of willing arms to hold a baby!

Coralville Mall

We left for Iowa Friday morning for the Robison Memorial weekend gathering in Kalona. On the way, we stopped at the Coralville Mall in Iowa City. I saw they had the Iowa City Children's Museum and whatnot, so we wanted to check it out! It's in the mall, so that's kind of strange (an ice skating rink also!). We got there around 4:30pm and since it happened to be the last Friday of the month, it was"Friday Family Fun Night" at the mall. So, carousel rides and admission to the museum were free from 5-8pm! Of course, the disadvantage being...free = busy. Since we didn't have to pay for the museum, Daddy treated us all to supper at Bennigan's. He got his Monte Cristo he's been craving and Emily claimed she ate "the best chicken fingers in the planet." Some pictures from the Mall!

big and little

Just some snapshots of Emily and Logan, fresh from the bath. Emily's class went on a field trip yesterday, walked up to the lake and went on the Liberty boats and had games and pizza with the Park & Rec staff. I think she got some sun :/

Logan love to have something to curl up in his hand when he's tired and sucking his thumb. Last night it was Sissy's hair. I even caught him once with her American Girls hair.

hiatus

Our internet connection is back! Or seems to be. We've had no (or very sporadic) HBC service for a week, our neighbors too apparantly. Something with the connection in the power lines above. Somehow they came and fixed it in the little bit of time (and rain) Logan and I took to drop off Luke and run to Target yesterday morning. That's of course after 2 failed attempts of switching out modems, etc. So hopefully it's fixed for good since I am way backed up with blogging. Easter pictures anyone? We are leaving for Iowa tomorrow morning, hope to be at the Iowa City Children's Museum by the time Emily would have been done with school! A little Robison family reunion is planned for Sunday in Kalona. Should be a good time, hope the weather treats us well!
Luke had his last day of preschool yesterday....technically it's tomorrow, but we'll be outta here. He's signed up to go a summer camp in the end of June at preschool. He's looking forward to his "senior" status next year at Redeemer!
(last day of the 2009/2010 school year).....what a difference a year (and a haircut) make!

out with the old, in with the new

Our new neighborhood park is complete! It has been for a few weeks now. The kids really enjoy it, although they miss the big curly slide from the other one. Perfect for loading up a shirt full of rocks and watching them sprinkle down. I'm glad they put new rock back in. Much more fun to play with than wood chips. Dirty, but fun.

Yes, there was a bunny there!

(this picture is from last year, but you can kind of see a little of the old park, they did put the purple dinosaur back!)
