Pontoon ride!

Katie and the girls invited us out on a pontoon ride this morning. It was a beautiful day for it! Her Dad lives on the river between LaCrescent and LaCrosse and her younger sister was nice enough to be our captain for the morning! We saw the big blue bridge and the LaCrosse Queen paddleboat.

We stopped at a sand bar so the kids could swim!

Having some fun when we got back....

Check out the size of that tree!

We had a nice time camping in Caledonia over the weekend! We went Saturday evening to Monday afternoon, so come Sunday morning, it felt like we had the place to ourselves.

Relaxing by the fire....

Breakfast foil wraps!

The tent sites are made into the bluffs, like little ledges in the hills. We felt like a herd of goats :D It was definitely the most rustic camping we've done so far, yet the bathroom was close. And is was very private. It was actually kind of nice to not have any other kids around this time.

Emily got to ride her bike up and down the trail...

The pool was nice and big. Most of the time, we were the only ones there!

Going to explore the trail...

Trying to break sticks like Daddy...

Ready for the wagon ride!

Luke had his little hand on Em's leg the whole time. Way too cute not to take a picture.

They have the softest, white, beach sand at the playground. Emily said it was like Moon Sand!

Zip line!

Emily helping with the shish kabobs.

Firefly chasing! It was pretty neat, there were tons up and down the little road.

Emily's camping project...

I had to take a picture of the site we were originally supposed to be in. When we checked in on Saturday night, they told us our site name and said "if you see anything you like better, just let us know since who's here now is it for the weekend..." I'm pretty sure that even if you ditch the picnic table, our tent still wouldn't have fit in the grassy area. It was tiny. So of course, we kept looking... On Monday when all the tent sites but ours were open, we found the perfect one, so if we go here again, we'll be requesting Slim Jim!

3 days of no naps caught up to him!
