karate

 Luke had an exciting night at karate Monday.  He earned his first belt!  White.  He has been going twice a week for a few weeks now, so maybe this is just the usual time kids get them.  Don't tell him that though.... ;)  Now he probably has a couple weeks worth of learning to tie it (apparently it's tricky!) before he earns his Gi (the white uniform).  He seems to be learning some of the language and names of "moves" and whatnot.  Hopefully he'll stick with it and make goals for himself as he gets older.
