parade

 Some pictures from the Grand Parade that was on Sunday.... I think it gets less entertaining every year for some reason.  The kids love it though.  One school did have really neat marching band costumes this year, Litchfield maybe?  Neighbor Carol came with us so we got to visit for 3 hours at least!  Or I should say, old neighbor Carol.  So that made it a great afternoon.  Logan has been missing his "Cooee."  He calls her something that sounds like Coo E.... how would you spell that?  It was definitely different not being able to just walk 2 blocks to the parade and throwing a blanket down in our spot the night before.  We parked in Carol's driveway and got there 20-30 minutes early, so we found a spot.

Just some cute Logan pictures for today.  Like I tell Dave, good thing he's cute or he would have been dropped off on a church's front steps by now!  He's something else.  Things are slowly but surely getting done at the new house.... someone came and got the (less than nice) fridge in the garage that was here when we moved in, makes a decent garage fridge, but not for us.....  someone is coming to look at the GAS PUMP in our garage next week and likely buy..... painters coming next week and upstairs carpet laying is getting in the books.  Oh, and we are 1 less storage unit as of today.  That's a biggie.  More Baraboo pictures in the works.... Circus World was a delight!

Wisconsin's Big Cat Rescue

 Thursday morning, we had to be up bright and early and in Rock Springs, WI (15 min. from Baraboo) at 8 am for the feeding tour at the big cat rescue http://www.tripadvisor.com/Attraction_Review-g60243-d1785040-Reviews-Wisconsin_Big_Cat_Rescue-Rock_Springs_Wisconsin.html  It was so fun and definitely something different to do.  Some of the cats were very sensitive and territorial while eating... don't make eye contact!  A lion, Bam Bam, gets really angry if you go by him while eating.  There's nothing like a lions roar so close!  Jeff gives the tour, while his wife and an intern are on a 4 wheeler dumping the pails of meat in their feeding enclosures, locking it behind them, and then opening the door to their large enclosure into their feeding area.  We walked along the outside of the entire perimeter and basically watched each cat eat.  Once you are on the other side, you can hear the impatient lions on the other pounding and roaring to be let out of their feeding area because they were done.  Then we walked around the front of their enclosures as they were getting let out of their feeding areas.  Saw a pretty lioness playing ball!

After the big cats, we headed to Circus World... the main reason for the trip!

Deer Park

 We didn't really have much to do after the train ride, so we went into the Dells and stopped at the Deer Park.  Lots and lots of construction in the Dells now, glad we didn't stay there.  Feeding the deer is always fun, it seems like a lot of young ones this year.
