toodle-oo

This may actually be the year of the big garage clean up!  Last night Dave and a friend loaded up his tool boxes to bring over to a new home.  Dave has no need for such as elaborate set up anymore.  Between these and Dave's old boat this guy has, he (should be) getting monthly payments for them.  We needed them out of the garage to work on it and realistically, who's going to outright buy Snap On toolboxes around here for thousands and thousands of dollars?  We'll see how this deal works!  Now he's even more eager to get all his tools and whatnot on eBay.  And we'll be getting a shed to put behind the garage for the kids toys.  Might be easier for them to go in and out of there instead of the garage.  Here's hoping we get our big 'ole barn decluttered this summer!  Heck, maybe we'll even be able to park in there this winter :)

big day

Luke had a big day at preschool Wednesday!  It was his sharing day (probably his last also being it's getting late in the school year) and it was his turn to bring snack.  Cheese and crackers, apple slices and baby carrots and dip were on the snack menu.  He brought his bag of gold dollars from Nana and 2 Easter gifts - his helicopter and helicopter book from Deeda.  I love it when he makes great choices on his own for his sharing day.   The kids thought the helicopter was pretty neat, see it flying?

swim trip

Dave must have found his camera cord, because his cell phone pics are on the computer!  It seems that everywhere we went, I forgot to bring in the camera :(  Our room at the Holiday Inn was right above Uncle Nathan's apartment, here they are checking on him!  Emily only swam 1 short part of a relay, so it was a lot of sitting and waiting, elbow to elbow with people.  Ack!  But, she had a nice experience and now we know what to expect in the future if she makes it to State.  Plus, we got to spend the whole weekend with Uncle Nathan, so that was worth the trip itself!  And we went to IKEA for the first time on the way home.  It was suppertime, so we had some Swedish meatballs and watched the big planes come in.  So, so fun!

powdered baby

Daddy brought home Bloedows yesterday morning before coming home from work.  Guess who had his first very own doughnut?  I think Logan agreed with the voters... http://minnesota.cbslocal.com/2012/03/03/best-of-mn-best-donut-shop/ !

Easter house

 Em's Easter artwork....

Jessie and I and the kiddos went over to the Easter house Sunday morning, the same house that is all decked out for Halloween too.  The Easter Bunny was there like usual :)  Logan wasn't scared, curious though!

to (dye) for

We were home this Easter!  No reliable vehicle to get us anywhere but in town for now.  A new(er) van in our future....hopefully?!  But, it worked out good this year since Jessie and Nico were in from South Dakota visiting.  The baby boys got lots of playtime in and walks in their little push cars.  Emily and Rylie were non-stop all week.  The kids dyed eggs and I made a really good turkey tenderloin with fixings.  We also walked over to the "Easter house" in the morning, pics from there to come!

Logan's first dye job.....he gave new meaning to the expression "Go suck an egg."
