scrunched smiles

Here's Logan from the other night giving neighbor Carol some of his scrunched up smiles we think are so cute. She came over and had some Baked Ziti and watermelon with us. (You can see Logan enjoyed some watermelon by the drippy mess!) Carol put her house up for sale, so we are sad that we might lose her as a neighbor. We've come to realize that good neighbors can be hard to come by. If she sells it, she'll probably be only 4 blocks or so away in her other house she owns (smaller and more manageable for just her), but it will be so different not being close, especially when Rylie is visiting. Luckily for us, it's a buyers market, so maybe we'll still have her around for a while ;)

green beans!

Logan had his first taste of the green beans I made.....

he loved them!
Sorta.

Happy 40th (a month early)!

Over the weekend, we went up to the cities for a surprise 40th birthday party for Dave's brother. Mark was definitely surprised, as his birthday isn't until the end of August, so it worked out pretty good! It was really fun, we went to Sticks Restaurant and saw a show at ACME Comedy Club. Minnesotan James Moore....super funny. Andy Kindler.....funny, but some of his references were a bit over my head. He was kind of "nerdy" funny, but was definitely good for a few laughs.

Deeda has some Roger Miller records, who knew?!

Emily likes looking at Deeda's fancy jewelry, Logan checking it out too.

Cousins playing...soon there will be another one, Lexi is getting a baby sister this fall!

You should have seen Lexi's face. Emily loves using Lexi as her hair and make up model.

We went over to Mark and Josey's house Sunday for a swim and burgers.

Logan and Deeda playing a fun game....knock the toy out of Deeda's hand and laugh hysterically!

Logan gave swimming a second chance and loved it! He kept licking the floatie.....mmm chlorine water.

Thanks to Josey for setting up the surprise and inviting us, it was a great time!

table food

Here's Logan working hard on his pincher grasp with some steamed broccoli the other night. It's also his first official "table food." As in the first "Hey, he could probably have some of this, let's try it!" thought while eating supper. He wasn't sure what to do with it, so he used his thumb for back up. I'm seeing some cut up pasta in his near future!

bathtub antics

Just some pictures of Logan in the bath the other night. He sure loves being in the tub. Lots of stealing "drinks" from his faucet and baby swimming. His favorite though is when he's done getting washed and we fill the tub with more water for Em and Luke to get in. He's fascinated by the flow of water.

Y Camp

Here's the big girls at Y Camp during Family Night. We had to leave before the little show they put on since the kids had swim lessons. Emily seemed to have a fun week! She came home with all sorts of fun camp projects...tie dyed t-shirt, painted pet rock, necklace, homemade candle, bird feeder, etc. The counselors there are so great. She'll be old enough to spend a night at camp next year, so that should be exciting!
