Valentines weekend (con't.)
Emily reading to Luke and Daddy last night...
Ben in his Baby Sesame Street pj's that Deeda made, he has matching boxer shorts too!
Luke changing Ben. He's pretty perplexed about Ben's lack of male anatomy. We just hung out at home on Valentines Day...Em and I played some games, Luke napped, Daddy was home alot of the day. He went over to Rochester to meet with the buyers and sign some paperwork and make a Sam's Club run...looks like the 27th/28th is it! He brought me home a new crock pot cookbook from Sam's. I'll consider it my Valentines present!
Luke was up a few times last night and today has a runny nose and feels a bit warm...didn't we just do this? Both the kids have their well-child visits on Wednesday, so hopefully he'll be fine then. The nurse informed me that this would be Emily's "5 year old Kindergarten shots." I was debating whether or not to tell her. I figured I should to avoid a not so good surprise, right? I guess this time she can't snicker at Luke for being the one to get shots.
Gotta read Pinkalicious on Valentines Day!
Here's Luke playing with his new doll. This is how the conversation played out when I asked him what he wanted to name him (because his given name of "Hilton" isn't going to work).
Me: Luke, what do you want to name him?
Luke: Oxser! (Oscar)
Me: No, we already have an Oscar...what else do you want to name him?
Luke: Uke! (Luke)
Me: But, you're Luke! *and then he said something that sounded like Ben, it wasn't Ben, but just sounded like it, so I said "How about Ben?"
Luke: Uh-huh!
So Ben it is.

Luke was a happy guy when we came home from bringing Emily to school...a "Tractert!" was by our house! He could've watched outside all morning if I had let him. Luckily, he got to continue watching outside the front windows. There was even a dump truck that we couldn't see at first collecting the ice and snow the loader was digging up. Luke
He's having so much fun playing with his birthday gifts this week. We set up his train stuff on the table today, although since he's 2, it doesn't stay together very long. Oh well, it'll just take time! And on an Emily note...Central Elementary school called today to verify with me what time we can come to Kindergarten round up on March 30th! Kindergarten...wow!
