Raspberries

We have been spoiled by our neighbors garden all summer. Especially the kids. They have these huge raspberry bushes that they can't get enough of. Whenever Luke hears someone going outside at their house, he makes a dash for the closest gate to get in! And Emily loves it when 'Grandpa Gary' (the father of the neighbor lady) comes over there to work in the garden or the yard. It's kind of ironic because he delivers parts for MPE (NAPA's competition) and we joke that he's probably thinking to himself "Get this damn NAPA kid out of here!" But, in all reality, of course he doesn't. He lets her chit chat to her heart's content!

Sometimes it pays....to pay?

So, we bought this thing on April 30th, I remember because it was the last day that Sam's Club was offering no interest financing. When we brought it home, we joked as we were thinking "When in the hell are we going to find the time to put this thing together?!?!" And we gave ourselves a sarcastic "at least by Labor Day!" timeline. Well, after finally hiring someone (or 2) to finish the little bit that Dave and Papa started....we made the "deadline", with a few days to spare :)

A late night (actually, it was probably only about 9pm) pizza/swingset puttin' together party....

And the next day, Daddy put the swings on! Now we just have to order the lower floor kit to cover the useless sandbox spot to make more floor space in the bottom level and have the matching playhouse built by our handy friend Kelvin. Yeah, yeah, I know what you're thinking....a playhouse? Next Spring we'll worry about what we're doing with the ground underneath it and maybe put in the works my massive sandbox plan. Poor Luke is tired of playing with black dirt. I think it was a wise investment though, as the kids (and neighbor kids) play on it everyday, twice a day!

Teamwork

Luke...the color chooser. Emily...the picture maker.

Last stop...Nana and Papa's house

Luke's first "official" haircut! But not much to show for it, just a bang and side trim....just the way we like it!

Em and her new Big Wheel....

What happens when no one is watching Luke... (at least they were washable, eh?)

Chatting with Uncle Nathan!

Visiting the Neuman's!

Since we were so close, we had to stop at my good friend Katie's house in Clearwater!

Reany, Emily and Libby. Reany and Libby are about 6 months older than Em.

Luke giving Dixie kisses, or maybe it was vice versa....she had 6 puppies about a week later!

Luke and Noah. Noah will be 1 this month! Don't mind Luke's sunscreen laden sweaty hair :)

Libby and Emily....but Emily really isn't that much taller (I don't think?). I'm pretty sure she's standing on a wood landscaping ledge. We had fun and can't wait to see them again in a few weeks to visit the puppies!

Babe getting revamped.
Back on the road and already snoozin'!
