Christmas

No school today and looks like tomorrow also.  With our 2 week winter break feeling really long, I'm still glad school was cancelled today.  Emily wasn't feeling well last night, trying her hardest not to throw up and some other bathroom issues.  Started with a big headache and looking really pale, which were the typical symptoms of the stomach flu bug going around school before winter break.  She seems perkier today, so we'll see how the rest of the day/night play out.  The kids bedroom furniture has finally come, with the exception of one piece, so time to start filling drawers and quit living out of totes, baskets and well, piles on the floor.  And also order a loft bed for probably Luke's room and see how we like it.  Their rooms aren't extremely small but they definitely aren't large either, so adding a bed on the floor will take away a lot of floor space... I think.  Then maybe they can get fun chairs, mini futons, a desk?  Who knew making up their bedrooms could warrant such hard decisions.

Deeda came down Christmas Eve and spend a couple days here.  First order of business was cookie decorating!

Of course, from nearly the minute Deeda got here, they were begging to open gifts.  They got to open the gifts that Grandpa Ron sent in the mail first!  No pictures of Em opening her Rainbow Loom, but there has been plenty of "looming" going on.  I think she's up to at least 10 bracelets by now.  And nearly 5000 bands will make plenty more!  Thanks Arkansas Robisons!

RC Dusty!  The kids had not seen Planes yet, so in honor of his new toy, we made a trip to the Redbox.
Luke loves his RC cannon shooter, it's really cool!

Perfect RC for a little guy...

New tools...  Thanks Mark, Josey and girls!
Finally got the Coastguard set and mobile police unit... thanks Deeda!  All Legos have been put together over break and he's been enjoying playing with the Coastguard boats in the tub.

Adding the element of surprise is always fun when opening AG stuff...

A barn for his aminals!

Locker set!

Deeda made some AG doll furniture and other goodies.

Logan telling Deeda all the letters in his new puzzle board.

Santa came in the night!   Santa mixed it up a bit this year and wrapped most everything.  We don't normally do that, but the kids loved it.  I think we'll do that every year!  Santa loves wrapping, so that's good.

Helping Stella with her stocking.  Spoiled girl.

Santa brought the Sleepover Accessories!

And the school backpack... Deeda also made her 2 more so each doll has one now.

Luke's accumulating pile....

Yes!

Logan loves Daisy!  He sees her at the store and her commercials on TV.  I know he would love a real kitty (kisses every picture of a cat he sees), but hopefully Daisy will do for now.

Tackle box candy.... also makes a good loom band organizer now that the candy is gone.

Books, books and more books!

Daisy pouncing on the wrapping paper!

Christmas party for the girls... Emily had wrapped some things up for them.  Cameras, eraser iPods, homemade Checkers game, shoes, earrings!  One even got a used gift card.

Em and her loot.  Along with some other AG goodies, she got McKenna's loft bed and an Our Generation kitchen.  I think she was pretty surprised!  I know one of these years it will probably be iPads, iPhones, UGGs and gift cards, so we'll embrace AG as long as we can.

Where's Logan?!  He is loving his Ikea chair Santa brought.... Deeda even made a pad for it.

"All I want for Christmas is my 2 front teeth... my two front teeth..."   Just in time for Santa and tooth fairy visits!

Deeda made furniture and sleeping bag!  Em can't wait to set up her doll house when we figure out where stuff is going to go in her room.  Pretty neat stuff, we're lucky to have a Deeda who sews.
